Display Settings not saved upon reboot

Hi,

Installed BT5 KDE 64bit in vmware on a Macbook Pro. Logging in as root, startx works fine. Change the screen resolution, beautiful. Reboot, display settings are back to like 800x600.

How does one save the changes made in system settings?

We can not fully determine the exact cause of this issue however you might consider taking an alternative and run a script at start-up that will change your resolution.
