Hello guys,

I've a problem when running BTr2..
1)when i executed wash command which is wash -i mon0...i received this message "Found Packet with bad FCS, Skipping"... why is that happened?to get the bssid i can only use airodump-ng mon0...

wash -i mon0 -C

read wash -h and you will find this option..

copied from wash help file:

-C, --ignore-fcs Ignore frame checksum errors

Thank you johanpro, im glad you like. Well, in a way it is good because it makes dificult someone to get inside our network. In my network i use Hidden SSID, WPS disabled, WPA2 and with a good password.

i agree with your set up..
same here
wps disable , wpa/wpa2 mixed mode
i do not hide the essid but i have mac filtering enable

I am just curious doing what you just said does that mean someone can't get into your network still?

I have a quick question that is not answered in the document, nor have I been able to find the info on google or searching forums:

What needs to be done to determine a WEP network's 'username' (i.e., when prompted to enter username & password).

Is that information possible to obtain using backtrack, or is a WEP network considered 'secure' if it is set up to prompt all connecting terminals for a 'username' and a password?
