airmon-ng start wlan0
then to see all wireless: airodump-ng mon0
Hi I'm new on Backtrack and Linux and I have a problem with airmon-ng
The problem is simple: I have Backtrack installed on a virtual machine with Vmware Workstation with a Sitecom Wireless Network USB Micro Adapter 150N X1 WLA-1000. Backtrack recognize this usb wifi as RTL8188S
When I execute WICD Network Manager I can see all wifi networks near me, but if i run airmon-ng I cannot see anything:
oot@bt:~# airmon-ng
Interface Chipset Driver
The iwconfig is:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0c:f6:e3:c4:68
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)
Anyone can help me? Thanks in advance
airmon-ng start wlan0
then to see all wireless: airodump-ng mon0
