hey everyone I just updated the OP with a youtube video that Bl4ckS4b3r was kind enough to make to display some of the script's features.

As far as 1.1 goes I have made some headway but I'm still trying to work outa few more features before I go ahead and release something.

Please feel free to submit some ideas and suggestions, I'd love to get a few extra pointers for what people would like as new features.

I don't know if I am allowed to write here, but I have an idea for a feature.
A feature to make rainbow tables out of one or more wordlist's.

I have finally found time to download and use this.

I have only used the manipulation and creation sides of the toolkit yet, but I must say, it's a really good toolkit to have and I LOVE it!

I have found one little "bug", when I tried the stripping feature on a 100MB wordlist, and set 8-63 the maximum character length, it started from 7 and up :-/
But I did remove 16MB from the file, so I am really satisfied :-D

I look forward to future releases :-)

@stepking2 I'll look into that bug and get it addressed in v1.2, in the mean time I'll be releasing v1.1 today at some point to sourceforge and coming up with new ideas in the process for v1.2 which will include the newest versions of TAPE's scripts and hopefully a few more features. I appologize with the inacticity, I got sidetracked with TRL and being kicked off the forums for a month for posting a youtube video really didnt help my cause lol

UPDATE:

I just updated the sourceforge to v1.1, I tested it with the update feature of the script and it works flawlessly. I'll be uploading a ZIP file here and on the sourceforge as well as soon as I get the chance.

Here is what is new:


+ Fixed some of the wording with the Phone and Social creation functions
regarding the movement and deletion of existing .lst files
+ Fixed some default settings not being default
+ Added checks that show which word lists would be removed / moved for
the SSN and Phone Number functions
+ Added the ability to create a word list with a customizeable random
pattern (limit the amount of consecutive characters, limit the
number of instances of all characters, specify min and max length)


I'll start working on v1.2 today and through out this week, I have a few things in mind, most fixes and updates to 3rd party tools but please shoot some ideas and I'll see what I can work out.

hey everyone! I had to push out v1.2 a little earlier than I was planning because I discovered yet another error with the updater that caused the script to backup itself even when an update was not available. anyways, 1.2 fixes this issue indefinitely in addition to providing some other updates, improvements and fixes. it is updated on the sourceforge git so you should be able to download the zip from there, use the update function or download the attachment from the first post (uploading now).

here are the changes from the change log:

+ Updated TAPE's Datelist and Word List Manipulator to their most recent
	versions and updated functions to reflect new features
+ Fixed issue when using 3rd party scripts and the conigured color not
	returning to the terminal after use
+ Fixed issue with the updater when a failed internet connection did not
	reroute the use back to the main menu
+ Fixed the wordify function to adjust for prefixes added via TAPE's
	datelist
+ Cleaned up and compartamentalized the menu system in an attempt to make
	it more user friendly

hey everyone, I've been working hard on cranking out v1.3 with come cool features and extra tools. I still have a few more things in mind (namely a function to make word lists from the words within ebooks) that I was to get going on but here is what I have in store so far:

+ Added the ability to toggle on and off the banner on script start up
+ Fixed some issues with the configure utility and made it so some of
	its functions are no longer case sensitive in addition to
	eliminating the possibility of misconfiguring certain items and
	making it generally more user friendly
+ Added dependency checks and the installation of missing dependencies
        to the first run of the script
+ Added the ability to force dependency checks even after the first run
+ Added the ability to convert the numbers of a word list into their
	word equivelant
+ Added ATT Mifi wireless hotspots to the list of default passwords 
	(I highly suggest you only use the passthrough for this feature)
+ Added the ability to install the script so you can run it from any
	terminal by typing "thad0ctor"
+ Added a feature that removes 's and version infofrom the script directory 
	in order to properly install the script and provide continuity for 
	future releases when utilizing the install feature

Just wanted to mention that your script works flawlessy on Ubuntu 12.04, but you have to start it with bash, not sh.

thanks for the heads up! I just went ahead and changed the new install feature to reflect this since sh wouldn't have run for 12.04 out of .bashrc, I appreciate the help!
