Question Madwifi update - slower injection.

I'm "new". I have been here for 20 days or but haven't been able to post until just now.

Anyways, after getting a lot of help for Xploitz I am now able to post. Thanks for all the help bro!

I updated my Madwifi drivers yesterday.

After installing the new Madwifi drivers I am getting really slow injection.

I lock the channel of my AP (11), and have a power of 15 when I am upstairs. I was able to inject at 250-300 but now it's at 60.

Anyone else experiencing this problem with the new Madwifi drivers?

Also, are there any plans to get Madwifi drivers to support up to channel 13? If anyone knows.

    Thanks for the help :o)

The speed of the packets per second, AFAIK, will sit around 60 with injection working properly. Now if there is network traffic on the wireless network you are attacking, this goes up. Thus far (I havent experimented much) I've only been able to get up to 480 per second.

Good news What kinds of speeds are other people getting here with no traffic and 15 or so in PWR?

That is very very low power, you really should be aiming for a min of 40-50 before you are likely to be getting good results, 70+ would be better though.
Whilst doing the initial testing you should try getting about 10-20ft from the AP with no walls etc in the way, and see what results you get then.

First off..WELCOME beamen!! Glad to see ya here in public for a change. And just for the record..for the people who don't know...beamen not a complete no0bie..Ive been working EXTENSIVELY with him because he couldn't post..so please go easy on him and don't give him a hard time ok? Thanks guys.

@ beamen..listen to b_p..about getting closer...also..you might want to go to madwifi and use a different driver besides the NEWEST one..that may be an issue..also you did delete your old drivers right?? Just asking because there may be a problem where your old driver and your new driver are in conflict and conflicting...(say that 3 times..lol) so go to madwifi and uninstall your new and old with the rm command..theres plenty of documentation there to tell you how to do this...but only do this if b_p getting closer doesn't work.

When I am a foot away from my AP I get 160#/s. Is this about right?
I thought Xploitz was getting several hundred (500-1000+) #/s. I read this in a previous post (I think). Correct me if I'm wrong.

    -=Xploitz=-,
I uninstalled the drivers - followed your tutorial So it should be all set with the newest drivers.

I just want to thank Xploitz for all his help while I was unable to post! I just registered and he helped me with ANY question I had from the get-go, and answered in a matter of minutes usually. He is a GREAT member of this forum, and we should all be lucky to have a guy that is this helpful on the board.

WOAH!! 2 close!! You can get feedback interference. 5-10 foot away should be plenty close. But only getting 160pps per second..isn't GREAT, but at least your getting better that your original 60 pps. My avg is about 300pps..ranging from 250-500 ..the 500 was tops..and a rarity. BTW..forgive me but what was your card your using again?? My memory of it is fleeting my mind currently.

Good..hopefully you'll see an immediate change for the better. You did reboot after you deleted the old and put the new ones in right? Not sure if it really matters..but I ALWAYS do.

Wow beamen. I'm touched by this. Really. I was only doing what I would want someone to do with me if I were stuck in "no post limbo" like you. And there are some people here who are just as helpful and patient as I am. Ok..well maybe not as patient (((())))...but very helpful and wise none the less. It was a pleasure to learn about who you were and to answer all your questions you had. Unfortunately though I had to spoon feed ya ONLY because you couldn't post. I hope I didn't "spoil" you in the processes and hinder your growth in learning and harnessing the true power of BT2 Final has as the result of my help. Its so much more rewarding when you do it yourself..but again I understand the dilemma you were facing and its frustration. I didn't mind helping you at all beamen. It was cool to watch you grow from no0bie to a more experienced user in a matter of weeks under my watch. Again..welcome aboard brother, and may all your journeys in the world of BT2 lead you to happiness and new found knowledge.
