    Default screen resolution

    my max res is 1024/ how can i enhance it ?

    Try running xconf before running startx. Also, if that is truly your "max", I don't really see how you'll enhance it at all.

    xconf only made it worse .
    how can i revese it ?

    There is a default xorg.conf file (xorg.conf-vesa) in /etc/X11. End your current X session, replace your current xorg.conf with xorg.conf-vesa, then startx again.

    i tried everything and nothing was working until i used xorgconfig in the shell then it takes u thru a whole process if you put all your correct info in then when it asks you 1 2 3 4 for resolutions make 1 2 and 3 the resolution that you want then hit 4
