i used some linux dists back in 2000....
I have a laptop which i use alot for pentesting at home.
To c how secure my network really are.
I did all kind of testings, like setting the AP to WEP, WPA and so on.
That was like 7-8months ago, now im BD (brain damaged) and im trying to get the stuff back i once knew
While i was using BT, a text told me, "USE SLACKWARE, ITS FAR BETTER"
that maked me del BT and install SLACKWARE 12 instead
so now im starting from the scratch , i installed or just copied the ipw2100 drivers to /lib/firmware and got my netcard working, got my wpa_supplicant.conf file copied to slackware 12 too.
so generally now i can use slackware 12 to surf the net
Sorry i just wanted u to get the picture of what i was into and so on.
So what im trying to say is, Linux is now ok, but BT isnt
so i wanted all the pentest tools from BT to SLACKWARE 12, i konw its possible ,i just dont know the most easiest way to do it.
And thats why im asking the staff (and/or if not equal ) members for a solution.
Best Regards dukocux, better known as duko -> The Real One
Cant u help me m8?
Cuz if i was going to slackware forums and asking this, they would say exactly the same as u
Go to Backtrack forums, this is slackware forums.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
I got many appz i wanna use in future so i make myself use linux everyday.
If idd use live cd installed on HD, i had to install Koffice stuff and all other stuff too. To make it useable other then pentestings.
If idduse Slackware installed in HD, i only have to integrate the pentest to Slackware without worrying about that i dont have a full system.
Dont get me wrong , i like BT. But i just dont want to do dual boot BT and Slackware.
Bt is the best thing a pentester can get.
