won't boot on a EEE-901

Hi people,

i'm trying to launch BT5 on my Asus EEE-901 but not working

I see the "boot menu selection" where we can choose (Default | Text | Stealth | forensics | no DRM etc.....)

and i see the second screen, who look like this one -> http://informationagenation.files.wo...track-boot.png

but after that the screen stay black... any idea ?


(i have try the usb drive to another PC and it's running.)

I'm seeing similar.
The install from DVD, BT5R1-GNOME-32.iso to be precise, seems to install without errors.
When I try boot into the system, all I get is a black screen with no text and a blinking cursor.
I've tried mounting everything to nothing to the 4GB flash drive and also to the 16GB flash drive.
So I've tried putting only / on the 4GB SSD and the rest on the 16GB SSD.
I've tried putting / and /boot on the 4GB SSD and the rest on the 16GB SSD.
So far I haven't found a solution to this problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I had the same issue and this is what fixed it. When the menu comes up with the (Default | Text | Stealth | forensics | no DRM etc.....) highlight the (Default text boot) option
and press TAB. Now you'll see some lines of text, look for vga=791. Put a space after the 791 and add i915.modeset=1 Hit enter and it should boot just fine.
