Try disabling visual effects in the settings.
Hello,
I recently decided to upgrade to BT 5 R2. After this upgrade, I have noticed a huge downgrade in visual performance. When I drag windows around, they tear a lot, and if I'm watching videos fullscreen they are extremely choppy. The whole GUI is also very slow. I had no such problems before.
I upgraded from BT 5 x64 KDE, I have experienced this problem with both BT 5 R2 KDE and GNOME x64. My video card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. I saw this http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...ad.php?t=48659 post and tried following their solution but I don't think it worked.
I also upgraded to the latest proprietary ATI drivers and installed them correctly (I think, I just ran the tool that I downloaded).
Any solutions? Any more info I need to provide? Thanks in advance.
