Default no password hasses loaded /bk5 /john the ripper

    i boot backtrack 5 R1 KDE.32 with usb
the password to log in to windows 7 is too week (12345)
i want to practice and find the password.
    i type this..
    root@root:~# mkdir /mnt/sda2

    root@root:~# mount -t ntfs /dev/sda2 /mnt/sda2/
    root@root:~# cd /mnt/sda2/Windows/System32/config
    root@root:/mnt/sda2/Windows/System32/config# samdump2 SYSTEM SAM > /root/pass1
    root@root:/mnt/sda2/Windows/System32/config# cat /root/pass1 |grep Administrator > /root/pass2
    root@root:/mnt/sda2/Windows/System32/config# cd /pentest/passwords/john/
    root@root:/pentest/passwords/john# ./john --format:NT /root/pass2
    No password hashes loaded

it means that i do not have a list of words ,so john can not find the list and match the password?

Couple of things can generate that message.

    1. Is the pass2 file empty? Check.

    2. If the passwords have already been cracked, then john won't do it again. To check use the --show option.
