    Default SSLStrip hangs at "running"

    Hello, all.

Recently I tried using SSLStrip, but wasn't able to issue any commands successfully other than -h. All other commands end with the program hanging at "sslstrip 0.8/9 by Moxie Marlinspike running..." and I have to ctrl-c out. In attempt to remedy it, I tried entering "apt-get remove sslstrip" and then reinstalling with "apt-get install sslstrip", but it didn't seem to help. Additionally, I tried downloading the newer 0.9 version of SSLStrip from thoughtcrime.org, then unpacking and running the new version, but it didn't seem to help.

If it makes any difference, this issue persists both on the BT5 installation on my computer as well as when I'm running on Virtual Box within windows. Here's some of the exact commands I entered if it's helpful:

Successful run using the only working command, -h. Works in both 0.9 and 0.8.

    Code:
    root@bt:~# sslstrip -h

    sslstrip 0.9 by Moxie Marlinspike
    Usage: sslstrip <options>

    Options:
-w <filename>, --write=<filename> Specify file to log to (optional).
-p , --post Log only SSL POSTs. (default)
-s , --ssl Log all SSL traffic to and from server.
-a , --all Log all SSL and HTTP traffic to and from server.
    -l <port>, --listen=<port> Port to listen on (default 10000).
-f , --favicon Substitute a lock favicon on secure requests.
-k , --killsessions Kill sessions in progress.
    -h Print this help message.
    Code:
    root@bt:~# cd /pentest/web/sslstrip
    root@bt:/pentest/web/sslstrip# python sslstrip.py -h

    sslstrip 0.8 by Moxie Marlinspike
    Usage: sslstrip <options>

    Options:
-w <filename>, --write=<filename> Specify file to log to (optional).
-p , --post Log only SSL POSTs. (default)
-s , --ssl Log all SSL traffic to and from server.
-a , --all Log all SSL and HTTP traffic to and from server.
    -l <port>, --listen=<port> Port to listen on (default 10000).
-f , --favicon Substitute a lock favicon on secure requests.
-k , --killsessions Kill sessions in progress.
    -h Print this help message.
Here's where it hangs in both versions. It'll sit here displaying this message until I ctrl+c out of it. This also happens with any of the commands, such as -a, -k, and -l.
    Code:
    root@bt:~# sslstrip

sslstrip 0.9 by Moxie Marlinspike running...
    Or again in 0.8...
    Code:
    root@bt:~# cd /pentest/web/sslstrip
    root@bt:/pentest/web/sslstrip# python sslstrip.py

sslstrip 0.8 by Moxie Marlinspike running...

Is there something silly I'm missing here? Or is this some kind of bug in SSLStrip, BT5, or one of SSLStrip's dependencies.

+1 it's working just fine... hit up youtube "SSL Stripping" ... there is a lot that needs to happen at the same time for this to work. you'll see it clearly there
