Hey,
I've never used IRC before, So I went to the #backtrack-linux at freenode.net and it took me a minute to download and install Konversation. well when I logged in it told me I was banned? Did I do something wrong? I'm only posting this here because this is where I heard about it. Is there a delay between registration ( which I completed) or what? I know it's a dumbass question but I was looking forward to the chat.
thanks

I've even tried to get on via windows, still banned and no way to contact anyone to fix it.
Than it probably means that either you either someone else was banned in the IRC.

Hello,
I tried to use webchat.freenode.net and then join #backtrack-linux but when i got on i couldn't speak in the channel do i have to have a properly registered nick to do that ?
I also wanted to connect to irc.freenode.net anonymously using a chat client but so far have been unable to using tor socks5 on port 9050 I realise this is more of a IRC question than backtrack sorry. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas on this only it worries me when my ip address shows up and everyone else seems to be hidden / cloaked somehow.
Thanks
