Question BT5 on USB (persistent), but still needs DVD to boot

    Hello there,

I tried a lot of Tutorials about how to make a persistent BT5 installation on a USB Stick.
Finally it worked with LiLi USB Creator, but for some reason BT5 still needs the BT5 DVD to start up. If I remove the DVD I get this message

    Code:
    /init: line 3: can't open /dev/sr0:no Medium found
    /init: line 3: can't open /dev/sr0:no Medium found
    ...
I don't get this message when I run this USB Stick on VMWARE. I get this error on my Acer Aspire 5750G.

The rest is just fine, but it's stupid to use BT on DVD AND USB.

Default AW: BT5 on USB (persistent), but still needs DVD to boot

It's funny that I also have an Acer Aspire 5750G and get the same /init: line 3: can't open /dev/sr0:no Medium found error on boot.

I am trying to install BT5R1 GNOME on a 4GB USB thumbdrive and used Untebootin so far with a persistence file of 1800MB.

Default AW: BT5 on USB (persistent), but still needs DVD to boot

Maybe we both used the blue USB3.0 port per default?
I never could get to the login prompt after the fb booting screen which went black.
When I used one of the the other two USB ports of this acer laptop, which aren't usb3.0 it also went black for quite a time, but the loginprompt showed up.
