RTL 8187 on Trend Net TEW-424UB

Working great in vmware!!!

Backtrack 5 is running faster and it's perfect !

didn't had to restart the module like in backtrack 4 in vmware doing kate files :

echo remove rtl8187 module
rmmod rtl8187
rfkill block all
rfkill unblock all
echo add rtl8187 module
modprobe rtl8187
rfkill unblock all
echo bring wlan0 up
ifconfig wlan0 up

But ... in V 5 i have to remove and re insert the usb nic to be able to have arimon-ng to see it !

After airmon-ng see it .... it's a charm !

just a little message to tell that on bt5 live DVD ...

I experience a trouble whit the nic on a laptop ( will be back whit laptop spec ... i was not at home )

at home when i experience that the nic is disconnecting i do this :


rmmod rtl8187
rfkill block all
rfkill unblock all
modprobe rtl8187
rfkill unblock all

and the nic start to work back .....
