    Default How to connect/pull IP?

    I'm getting into this stuff today on my day off

    I have an AP setup here at home as a dummy. Right now, it has no WEP. I can get my card into monitor mode (thanks xploit) and can now see the AP. How do I attach to it and request an IP? (it is using dhcp)

    Thank you for any advice.

    SSID = test
    Channel = 6

    Assuming your card is eth0
    Code:
    iwconfig eth0 essid test
    dhcpcd eth0
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    Thank you both.

    Sham, sorry if it seemed like a waste of time. I will search more in the future.

    Thank you again for your help.
