Hi, i m new to backtrack and this forum.
I have installed Backtrack on Vmware 7.1.5. Sound works fine on the Ubuntu 11.10 installed on Vmware too without any changes / plugins.

Is the sound needs to be enabled like network eth on the Backtrack?

i have tried to install VLC Player and sound plugins-Gstreamer. However VLC player not works and comes with error 'Could not Launch Player'. I installed bangarang to see if this works it plays file but no sound...? though sound is not important but nice to have on Backtrack.

Any help , guide...
