These are my test results using the Belkin Wireless G USB network adapter. My test platform was a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, dual booting Windows 7 Professional & BackTrack 5 r1 32-bit GNOME. I never could get the exact chipset from Belkin tech support, nor could I find the device at the FCC's website. Anyway, the thing would go into monitor mode ok (airmon-ng & kismet worked no problem), but would not do packet injection (aireplay --test). My tests were done using the standard drivers that came with BT.
