I've had a downloaded VM of Backtrack5.1 running in a VMware for several weeks with bridged networking working fine.

Now, when I do an ifconfig only the loopback interface is shown, and if I attempt to restart networking the following response appears.

I am not aware of having done anything to upset networking, and a fresh download of the Backtrack VM works fine, however having registered Nessus etc on the old version, I'd like to salvage that if possible and so would be grateful if anyone can show me how to do so.
