I starting out using backtrack on a live CD, and I would like to do some tests on the local wifi network, but I can't enable wireless networking. I tried start networking, service networking start, and /etc/init.d/networking start, but all these result in the output "networking stop/waiting".
Running iwconfig produces the following output:
I normally use Ubuntu, so I know there is usually a wlan0, but I can't find it. When I open Wicd, I just see "No wireless networks found".
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
My wireless card is identified as "Broadcom Corporation BCM43224 802.11a/b/g/n".
How can I enable wireless?
