Is Backtrack 5 detecting it ? are you sure wlan0 is the name of the adapter ?
Hello, I have gnome 32 version of bt5, running through vmware. Cant seem to locate my card. I am running it on a laptop with win 7, not sure if i have to disable the onboard wireless card. i have a usb netgear wg111v2 thats bt compatable

Yes cuz ive used this one before with bt3. Its clearly not even showing up via the commands in the picture. I just havent used it with bt5 nor have i done it successfully through vmware
Run iwconfig at the command prompt to find out the name of the adapter(s).
If I could figure out how to scuba dive & hack at the same time, there would be nothing I couldn't do...
