Backtrack 2 HDD installation help

Hello,

it coming up to the 3 hour mark of trying to find a working tut to install Backtrack 2 to a plain unused 20gig HDD with no partitions or anything, all iv found are dual boots and ones that didn't work for me.

I have been recommend to a offensive-security tut but it didn't work.

any help would be great, Thank you in advance.

You are best off following this dual boot movie eliminating the steps only required for dual boot.
There are a couple of small errors so if you follow this transcript which points them out you will be fine.

Forget the qtparted section.
Just remember your partition numbers will reduce by one and in the lilo section forget the windows part and reduce the timeout to something small like 20 which is 2 seconds just in case you need it for something later.

follow that and you shouldn't have a problem

To be honest with you, without that it is very hard to help.

But we will try our best.

At what point did you get the error message

Have you any idea of what any part of the error said

it was after the installation.. umm.. it just couldn't read the HDD if i remember correctly, boot error or something.

was there any errors with lilo.

this is what i did i made 3 partitions a SAWP, EX3, FAT32 now install to your ex3 partition and that is it
use Acronis Disk Director Suite version 10 to make the partitions
