Default "Bad return stat" error when trying to install easy-slow-down-manager / samsung-tools

Ok so i'm trying to set up a smooth backtrack 5 R1 with KDE on a Samsung N150 netbook (HardDisk installation).
I'm actually running BTR1 64-bit and anything is working fine OOB apart of the backlight regulation, which is impossible to set with the "Fn + whatever" combination, nor i've been able to set it using setpci as i am used to do on my debian partition.

In order to install the samsung-tools package, which I need to get the backlight controlling, i need to install the easy-slow-down-manager as well due to its dependencies.

When trying to install the slow-down-manager using apt-get, i get this error message:

I found on similar topics this combination I tried to run:

    but with no luck

I found this on the "easy-slow-down-manager" google code page.
To build the module you need linux kernel source. Unpack module archive and issue:
    make -C /path/to/linux/source M=`pwd` modules
This use to work on most linux distros:
    make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build M=`pwd` modules

    thank you for the help!

I have two choices: wheter installing the deb package, and in that case the package installs but all of the other samsung packages (samsung-backlight and samsung-tools) keep giving me the same problems (and which i only found via apt by adding voria repositories from "linux for my samsung" project, so i'm stucked with apt-get installations) or attempting the installation through tar.gz, and getting this other error:

    WARNING: Symbol version dump /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.39.4/Module.symvers
is missing; modules will have no dependencies and modversions.

I found this topic where a similar problem is mentioned, but with no solution yet:
