Error Installing Backtrack 5 to Laptop

First time the installer got to 99% and then had a "panic" and crashed.

2nd time the installer got to 99% and then froze.

Neither time were we able to boot into backtrack after.

We are booting into the graphical Ubuntu desktop. Then clicking the install.

Here are some suggestions: first of all, verify the MD5 hash of your download against the MD5 from the download area. Next, check your hardware against the BT wiki & the hardware compatibility list forum. You might also try a different download...if you're trying to install the 64-bit gnome version, try the 64-bit KDE version, etc. Another option would be to install another o/s on the laptop, and try running BT5 as a virtual machine (using the VM download).

Just like Kanazky i also have some issue's with the BT installer.
I have tried different installers 64 and 32 bit versions, gnome and kde, BT5 and the BT 5 R1 build.
Also MD5 is correct.
But i also deal with this "Panic" message.

In order to install BT i boot either from DVD / USB, i use the startx command in order to get the desktop environment.

would be nice to see if someone has a solution.
