X.Org Server & nVidia problems

I bought a new laptop and I'm trying to install BT5
The notebook has 2 video cards, one Intel Integrated and one nVidia GT540M.

Code:

lspci | grep VGA

I describe below what I did to install the drivers

1) Downloaded the drivers from nVidia's web site

2) Added these codes to disable nouveau drivers

blacklist vga16fb
blacklist nouveau
blacklist rivafb
blacklist nvidiafb
blacklist rivatv

in that file

vi /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

3) Reboot my pc and installed nVidia driver

sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86etc.run

4) Reboot

sudo update-initramfs -u

5) Startx

I also tried this method with a fresh installation but it does not work for me

Downloaded the driver here http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html

chmod +x /{nvidia_driver_name.run}
chmod +w /boot/grub/grub.cfg
gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg

type "nouveau.modeset=0" before "vga=791" (without quotes) and you have a line like this:

chmod -w /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Reboot
After boot don’t type startx

./{nvidia_driver_name.run} --kernel-source-path='/usr/src/linux'
