I do not believe it comes with BT2 you must first create it.

Odd.. I could have sworn it was standard on my BT2...however I did update it to the newest version some weeks ago....no..it is standard on BT2....Im this sure of it....on a 1-10 scale .......I'm about an 8.

When I responded to this I thought you were talking about the program wpa_supplicant. Now that I have re-read it..you were talking about making the text wpa_supplicant..and yes...your right. You must create it first. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for the necromancy guys, but I'm still struggling with this.

I've followed everything to the letter, but all I'm getting after the call to wpa_supplicant is:

ioctl[STIOCSIWENCODEXT]: Operation not supported

I started playing around after that, using the different drivers supported, but still no luck. The network adapter I'm using is a D-LINK DWL-G122 with a Ralkink chipset. It's registered on my box as rausb0.

It works fine with airodump-ng and everything else, but I've been unable to connect it to my network yet.

Did you use....

bt ~ # wpa_supplicant -w -Dwext -iath0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

or did you put your interface?? This tutorial is for atheros cards...try editing that command I just posted by removing -iath0 and putting your device in its place.
