Intel Wifi Adapter Error

I have two laptops both with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250, and both are acting strange when typing in airmon-ng.
When I run airmon-ng, It just hangs, and I have to force close the app using ctrl c. I've tried debugging it using gdb and seeing where it hangs; It appears the computer doesn't think it has a network connection, yet I am clearly posting this from said computer now.

If I go into the wireless connection menu under the internet tab, I can connect to any unsecured ap but not any ap that has any sort of encryption (even having a legit passcode).

I'm using kernel 2.6.38 and iwlwifi-6050-ucode-41.28.5.1.... I don't know what else to do in order to get this to work, as I can't seem to get the card to actively think it's installed, nor can I figure out how to set up the driver to accept any packet injection (for testing my own networks of course).

Any clue of a fix for this? A lot of newer computers are coming out with this card or a variant.

Have you entered the password in WICD for the encrypted AP's ?

I have the same problem. The only difference is that I installed BT5 R1 because I thought it would solve the driver problem. When I run airmon-ng it doesnt even recognize the wireless device. I read your BT5 recognizes the wireless device. Could you please tell me how you installed it. I tried to install it on BT4 but I didn't know how to load it.

Trust me airmon-ng doesn't work for intel centrino advanced-N 6250 + wimax it doesn't support packet injection I wish someone would fix this problem but I doubt aircrack-ng will fix it anytime soon. check the compatibility list on aircrack-ng main website and you will see that it doesn't support this network card yet which sucks bad. I wish it did but it doesn't at this time.
