Default Need step by step Help getting wired/wireless internet and correct drivers for BT5.

Hello everyone, I have several problems that I need solutions for. I have downloaded BT5 directly to my HDD. created a partition, according to instructions.

First I am looking for step by step instructions to get BT5 both wired and wireless internet installed in BT5. I have tried some of the tutorials and nothing seems to work. I am running a dell inspiron 9300 with an Intel(R) Pro/wireless 2925ABG card.

Second is the start up of BT5 I want windows to start up automaticly as this is what I use the most. I donot want to select windows each and every time it starts. I want to be able to put BT5 under a seperate user account so that I can switch from windows to BT5 and vicaversa. How do I do this.

Third How do you access doccuments and other items or download programs into BT5?

Please help, I have read the tutorials and can not seem to get them to work for BT5 I am computer literate, but have never used BT5 before. and can not seem to get the coding to work to get the net

any step by step instructions would be a great help

    Running a Dell 9300, internal Intel(R) Pro/wireless 2925ABG card. Windows Xp Pro in 32.

I get my wireless up by using the Applications>Internet>WiCD manager.
Not sure what your problem is but if you are using WiCD manager post errors :P

About your 2nd Prob. "Second is the start up of BT5 I want windows to start up automatically as this is what I use the most. I do not want to select windows each and every time it starts."

You can fix this by editing the grub.cfg located under /boot/grub.

    To do this
    1. you have to login to your BT start the GUI and locate for the grub.cfg file
    2. open the grub.cfg file using text editor
    3. Read the whole file and there is a part there to load specific Operating systems.
    4. Now CUT the part that loads the Windows Operating System and Paste it above all the items that is being load
    5. Save the changes and restart your computer.

    Hope this can help...
