hey snafu777, I had to downgrade back to 64bit RC1 to be able to use quick.sh wireless vacuum again. I think the problem had something to do with the kernel upgrade as to why it was connecting to it self on mon0. Either way I was using nmap from inside of metasploit to scan devices that connected to my AP on at0 cause it was using 5.51, but now metasploit has upgraded nmap to 5.61 and I can't seem to install nmap 5.51. any suggestions?

    For Backtrack 5 RC2:

Backtrack RC2 comes with a newer version of dhcp3-common that the current version of dhcp3-server doesn't like. To fix this issue on a fresh install do the following:

    Code:
    apt-get purge dhcp3-common
    apt-get install dhcp3-common=3.1.3-2ubuntu3.2
    apt-get install dhcp3-server
    apt-get install dhcp3-client
    apt-get install wicd
To get sslstrip working you must run the setup.py script:
    Code:
    cd /pentest/web/sslstrip/
    python setup.py install
you should now be able to use sslstrip by typing it in the command line.

    Default Version 3.4

    Ladies/Gents,

I apologize for my recent absence from QuickSet's development... Just been busy IRL, you know how it goes. Either way, I'm really happy to announce that Version 3.4 is out in the wild now.
svn up and grab a copy, you'll be happy you did...
    Code:
    svn checkout http://quickset.googlecode.com/svn/trunk quickset
    Changes to note are:
    • Implemented WACG.sh style reaver command generator!
    • Prevented loop with respect to wifi channel in ferret_II--()
    • Modified r_tech_III--() for code simplification
    • Added default value of 500 for packets per burst with regards to forge_out--() for speed purposes
    • Moved tchan--() as a subfunction of wifi_101--() to a main function of quickset.sh
    • Modified tchan--() to only change channel frequencies when required
    • Modified how quickset.sh handles hidden process kills within cleanup--() via the specified PID file
    • Found and fixed bugs with respect to iwconfig being called upon by functions that called other functions, never acting upon the iwconfig commands. In other words, WiFi Channels were never set when they were supposed to be. Was not a huge deal, as the channel was eventually set, but the idea behind it was not correct, so it was fixed..
    • Fixed rtech_III--() where it would call broad_out--() via broad_arp--(), which didn't exist. Not quite sure how the typo happened, but it is now fixed
    • Implemented internet connectivity and monitor mode detection during startup
    • Arpspoof now checks for an internet gateway as a default
    • Implemented chan_check--() to speed up wireless channel switching decisions
    • Changed the way dhcp_func--() handles custom DNS entries. The old way used to be done via the shift input technique. The use of an array has now been implemented for easier reading and an output capability to show the user what they have picked.
    • DHCP server success message working properly now.
    • The ability to use custom hosts for dnsspoof has been added
    • Reverted changes.txt to have the most recent changes on the bottom
    • Pointless comments removed, i.e.: x= ## Nulled
    • Clarified the steps needed to crack WEP in lists--() for easier understanding
    • Changed all single bracket unary operations over to the double bracket system for symetrics except for the numeric value checking operations...
    V/r,
    Snafu
