I did some browsing and compiled what I believe to be the top of the list when it comes to PCI cards compatible with AirCrack and BT2. I would like you guy's opinion on which one to get....

Support for Broadcom cards is sketchy at best. If you're just looking for something to connect to the internet with, it'll work. But injection is a roll of the dice. One day it might work, the next it won't. Therefore, I would not recommend any Broadcom-based card for general purpose use.

I went for the Netgear WPN511 its quite a nice Atheos based card does the job, Range isnt brilliant and you can "hack" it to put an external antana on it.

im comparison to the cards built into my laptops its middle of the range, it wipes the floor with my Acer 3660 the signal is shit on the built in network card better on the WPN511,

on my HP laptop it has an intel based wifi card the signal is so much sharper but once again not long range.

so in answer to your question get the netgear one you put in your reccomended pile with an ext anteni and you will be rocking,

note if you wish to use fakeap.pl (Anti Wardriver mesures) that script it written exclucivley for prisum based cards.

I've got a dwl-G520 in my desktop.

Works out of the box, injection too. RP-SMA connector. This card is as good as the antenna you put on it. If you want better range and reception, buy a better antenna. For any pci card in a desktop, it helps to get the antenna up and out from behind it.

This card has worked with every distro and livecd I've tried it with that has madwifi. I highly recommend it.
