Are you using a 32-bit version of backtrack?
I've got a dictionary(>4G) ,but aircrack(with -w option) could not recognize it.
I checked the dictionary with command "file", it showed that was an ascii text document.
Must I converse it to utf8?
And if I need to do that, is there any tools I could use in backtrack?(except iconv or recode, they doesn't work with large files)

Split the dictionary to multiple files. First, thatll solve your problem. Second, it means that you can now run the crack for smaller dictionary files, kinda like pausing it. not needing to run it all the way through.
World Domination is such an ugly phrase. I prefer the term World Optimization.
