try downloading the ati driver *.run file copy to a usb disk then before starting xserver
chmod +x ati_driver_what ever.run
./ati_driver_what ever.run
Yo! If i'm posting on the wrong place sorry am a real newbie. I tried out Backtrack yesterday to test my security and see if my neighbours are parasitically taking my internet. Well I put it on to a USB with unetbooting, check the md5 thing and burned it to the flash drive. Shutdown and booted to the USB and picked the default boot, and showed a bunch of commands and BOOM!! A screen with every pixel a different color, pure chaos, like "dump a bucket of urine on the laptop" chaos! So I tried the other versions KDE 64 & 32 GNOME 64 & 32 same results. I try it on another laptop, happiness! it works but thats my friends laptop at his house so I consider it might be the usb driver and/or driver so I burn it to a dvd, the boot screen comes out I rejoice for a while but bam it happens again, I'm using an Acer Aspire 5250, windows 7 64 bit, AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics and for anymore info just ask but I searched everything so please help me!!![]()
