Nice reference. Stuck!
after some spoonfeeding here i just decided to past here THE link when you want to identify wich chipset and wich driver for each card you know....
it's the most complete list i know
here's an extract
This list is arranged in several columns: Manufacturer, wireless lan type, product ID, Vendor and product code, host I/F, chipset, driver, works native with Linux and additional comments (depending on the search you did, one of the columns is the header).
Drivers are defined as Linux native drivers, so no Linuxant driverloader or Ndiswrapper.
here's the link enjoy !

Thanks alot!
im extremely nooo,
i have an old dell inspiron 3700 and ive got bt2 booting fine from the live cd.
my problem lies in my wireless... ive checked my pcmcia (lspcmcia) and the slot is recognized but "no driver" found ... ive looked into this and am a littel lost.. ive figured out i need "hostap_cs.o" or "hostap_cs.ko" ive found the hstap folder on the cd.
where do i go from here?
found mor info.... cd /usr/src/drivers/acx100 && insmod ./acx.ko ... got me a littel further but i get " access denied"
If it does can someone tell me where I can find the driver because I have searched and searched and still have been not been able to find it.
according to linksysinfo forum and to linksys drivers site there is only a drivers for win XP and another for vista..... seems to have no linux support for this device.......but to be sure you may send a mail request to linksys..........that's the best way ..........
AFAIK there's no third party drivers for linux for this device..........
