Hy.
I just start using backtrack, every thing ok. I must say this is the first time I use Linux.
What I want to do is to learn how to crack/ test a WAP2 wireless network
Here is what I do:
1) lunch a terminal
2) airmon-ng --> I get a wlan0
3)airmon-ng start wla0 --> get it on monitoring mode
4)airodump-ng mon0 --> search all teh network (around 17-18)
5) First of all what I think is not ok is that in the "#Data" column I have only 0 and this after 2 min. Ok let go further
6)airodump-ng -c 6 -w wapcrack --bssid AA:BB:CCD:FF --iws mon0 --> All look ok but stiill nothing in the "#Data" column, more than that no station appear. I try to capture package on a unsecure network, I connecte to it from one of my laptop, make trafic and still nothing - no stion appear, no data movement
7)aireplay-ng -0 1 -a 00:19:5B:52:AD:F7 -c 00:1C:BF:90:5B:A3 mon0
I must tell you that I have a wireless -> Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n and a Intel 8257LC Gigabit network connection
I try to read all I can in this problem but still no answear.
So? what you thing I should do? Please keep in mind that is the first time I usi this.
Thank you,
