airmon-ng does not display any interface,chipset or driver
i am trying to obtain a wep key from a router as part of a security check. I am running Backtrack 5 RC1 32bit on a VMware Workstation (my com is a windows 7 laptop), it can access the internet through the Dolphin browser. I run startx in Backtrack 5, Launch Konsole, and as i type airmon-ng, i see 3 columns Interface Chipset and Driver, with nothing deteced. i have a Realtek RTL8188SU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0. i have checked the option to use this USB adapter under removable devices in VMware.
looking for someone to guide me through this, open to using teamviewer if necessary
