Login Screen of Death

Hey guys,

So cutting right to the chase, I can't login to backtrack after first putting in the live cd. I cruised around the forums, and found some other people had my problem, and it was attributed either to a corrupt download or cheap media.

Well, that leaves me a little confused. I tried User: root Pword: toor, as instructed, but to no avail. I've burned it 3 times (at the slowest setting) using Alcohol 120, Deepburner, and imgburn, as I've seen people advising to do. I even checked the iso using imgburn, and it was 100% good.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.

Did you check MD5 sum of the iso image?

If your ISO was corrupted during the download process, you can burn all you want and it will never work. MD5 Checksum verification!
