Hello everyone,
I've been trying to get this to work all day now. I'm getting very frustrated. I've am new to linux and backtrack. I have to look at fedora and ubuntu for a class I have now and I really like them. I'm obviously not very good with the shells but I am exited to learn. I have been trying to connect backtrack wirelessly with this d-link adapter. I am running in virtual box. I can see that the os recognizes the usb device cause it says athoeros communications. when I run iwconfig is get no wireless extension. and when I run lsusb is see the adapter. I don't see any wireless connections in wicd manager. Can I get some help with this issue please?
orCode:man ifconfig man iwconfig
Code:ifconfig -h iwconfig -h
Link: I'm new to linux, is BackTrack a good place to start ?
Sorry, the simple answer to that is no.
BackTrack is a highly specialized distro, where a lot of normal tasks are not done automatically for you as they are in a mainstream distro.
Back|track giving machine guns to monkeys since 2007 !
