    Default xorg server update

Has anyone successfully upgraded the xorg server to the latest 7.2 in backtrack? If so can you give me a quick run down of how you did it. I keep getting stuck with all these missing packages ( > 22 of them).

    Thanks

I haven't done it, but I would assume that if it's missing packages, then you'd need to install them before you do the upgrade.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

What would the module be called? I've tried slapt-get --install xorg, xserver, x and I can't find any of those pkg names.

Edit: I did slapt-get --upgrade and one of the packages is called x11-devel could that be it?

I would think this would be no small feat seeing as

taken from the changelog : We are running on a tweaked Kernel 2.6.20

and I cannot find any kind of actual references to what any of those "tweaks" are. Those "tweaks" are going to be something like Coka-Cola'a secret recipe.

    Good Luck

and even if you do not succeed you will certainly learn a hell of a lot along the way.
