Hi, I am starting to learn again backtrack, I stopped since bt2. I have a backtrack5 R1 running on virtualbox in Windows7. I have selected the "Bridged Connection" and backtrack actually can connect to the net. But i am having problem detecting my USB wireless card, Its has a rt2870 driver. lsusb only shows:
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 80ee:0021 VirtualBox USB Tablet
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
The dongle comes with a cd with driver installer but i dont know how to run .bin document or i am not so sure if i still need to run and install the driver.
I need to use wifi connection because alot of pentesting feature won't run on just bridged connection. Thanks and hoping to get a response asap. Thanks in advance.

You have to passthrough the USB-dongle.

Hey, you can delete this thread now. I have used a live usb anyway instead on running it in virtualbox. Thanks a lot for looking out. Although i got another question but i'm just going to make another thread for that. Thanks again.
