first you log in useing the username password combo of
root
toor
then at the command prompt "BT#"
you type startx
its really that simple your you could type fluxbox
You neglected to tell him to press 'enter' or 'return' after he types startx. I have a feeling that's a much needed thing to say with this one.

hi, yes, ive tried that ages ago but i thought it was wrong because my screen didnot display anything when i run the 'startx' command, im assuming this is because my screen carnt go to the resuloution needed, it says tha max resolution that the screen can acheive is 1027x726? can i make the 'startx' boot at the afor mentioned resolution?
I think take cd out of drive and don't put it back in is nearer
I think if i need to tell some one that then they shouldent be using Backtrack,
but same goes for the whole fact that if they cant read and work out the first boot screen then they wont be able to work out whats in my post.
