Please people, this thread was open by trouble18, any other questions or doubts of your own, please open up a new thread....If you post, it is to help the member with the problem, not to post your issues, unless it is a similar one and you found the solution which will help the member.

This is getting a little confusing and messy.

And to all of you, dear members, g0tm1lk and stepking2 mentioned it before: "INTERNAL wifi devices DO NOT WORK in VM"..

Do you have a doubt?..Open your thread to get help, please.

    Luck.

It's best to buy a external wireless adapter. The Realtek 8187L chipset is one of the common wireless card that everyone uses. I have the Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter with Realtek 8187L chipset inside and it has no problem injecting packets. Very few of the internal cards work with Aircrack.

Have you ever read the forum's rules?..Do not duplicate threads..You have invated for a second time another thread belonging to another member and done it twice..(http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...ad.php?t=41981)..

This way you can hardly get any help...Read the rules.

    Luck.

I am having real issues and none of my buddies are deep into linux knowlege. I am more than willing to let someone who is skilled use teamviewer to remotely help me with my issue. You see I cant get my usb adapters to get picked up on airmon-ng and i dont know how to modify the one i have internally on my laptop/ i have a hp pavillion dv7, and i am running backtrack 5 on vm workstation. I type aimon-ng and nothing comes up under chipset. i also tried to go into the network manager, and it wont show any wireless access pts or routers. i have a netgear wg111t and a a netgear wn121t. any takers?

I've uploaded this video of aircracking and I'm using Belkin Wireless Adapter and VMWare Player. So, you'll come to know how I connect to the USB Wireless Adapter.
