Default Express Card -> PCMCIA converters

    Hi All,

I have several PCMCIA cards that i have used with backtrack 2-> for wireless auditing.
unfortunately, i now have a new HP laptop that uses Express cards and doesn't have a PCMCIA slot.
My question is, can i use one of the below adaptors (or any other adaptor) and still have it work? Or will i need to purchase a seperate Express card just for Auditing? In the ebay listings for adaptors, they sometimes mention 'only works with windows' if the card is being controlled from a software level that will be a problem as well i guess.

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
Well I bought one adapter looking just like those to use it with DECT PCMCIA cards for DECT-testing and it didn't work, however the sysem detected the adapter when I loaded in the correct drivers (just search for how to use expresscard ubuntu) but thta was it sadly...I really need to have this problem sorted out...the manufacturer states on its website that the adapter is Linux-compatible, so there must be a solution, but so far I was not able to find one...
    However this topic looks promising:

I´m totally confused! I got a lenovo x61s notebook, and still don´t know what slot it has. I think its an express card slot. I bought a dect pcmcia type III card. it has the same widht, but it is to high to fit in my slot. can i use a adapter or is there any dect express card available?
