    Default MacBookPro8,1 + Parallels + Airport

    Hi forum,

is there anyone who successfully runs BT5 on a new MBP via airport adapter in Parallels VM?
I don't want to dual boot, VM is so much easier. But it seems, the broadcom bcm43xx is not supported in this constellation!?

I tried different configs (shared, bridged, airport etc....) but no success. the parallels tools installed without problem.

    any ideas?

    thx in advance

I had a similar issue. Networks not seeming to work in Parallels when using Backtrack5. Here are some steps I tried and had varied success.

    • RUN /etc/init.d/network restart
    • Reset your Parallels network settings

Good luck, I would suggests getting a USB wifi card and using Backtrack with that. It works flawlessly.

    Cheers.
