    Try connecting manually from the command line. Wicd doesn't work for my Ralink 2870 and the only way i can connect is to use iwconfig at the terminal

    You're probably too far away from your own router...

    Why are you trying to connect to a wep'd access point with a wpa passphrase?

    Firstly thanks for the fast replys guys

    Secondly i really dont think im trying to connect with a WPA passphrase since in the configs it clearly state WEP encryptions and you can even see it in the logs : ,

    'encryption_method': 'WEP', 'essid': 'BELL111', 'automatic': True}

    I will try connecting manually but it sucks since it stopped working suddenly and i wanted to know why..

    Firstly thanks for the fast replies guys

    Secondly how can you say im trying to connect with a WPA since it even shows in the configs that my pass is in wep encryption ?

    I'll try manually but it sucks since it suddenly stopped working after like 2 months
