    This sure looks like a dependency issue to me, have you tried searching what version of libssl BackTrack has ?
    Back|track giving machine guns to monkeys since 2007 !

    Try a
    apt-get -f install
    will try and fix any broken dependancies
    There's no place like ~/

    i have a problem with this line of code
    gpg --export A3C4FOF979CAA22CDBA8F512EE8CBC9E886DDD89 | sudo apt-key add -
    it is in the first posting above
    i get this
    gpg: warning nothing exported
    gbg: no valid OpenPGP data found
    i am running backtrack 5r3
    32 gnome
    any help would be appreciated been on it a week
