    Default metasploit 4.0

FYI, Rapid7 has released the 4.0 version of the framework. I ran msfupdate earlier today, and it upgraded in place flawlessly for me (preserved all the stuff in the database). All my old favorites are still there & work, and the new functionality will be very helpful. Some of the changes appear to have resolved a lot of the pcaprub issues that I (and others) have reported in earlier versions.

For comparison, I'm running BT5 32-bit gnome in a virtual machine.

Your mileage may vary, but MSF4 & BT5 appear to be playing nice together for me.
If I could figure out how to scuba dive & hack at the same time, there would be nothing I couldn't do...

How the hell do you delete the old hosts from the database ? as the "db_del_host" command is missing in v4.0

In Metasploit 4 to delete hosts:

    Code:
    hosts -d host-ip

    use
    workspace -h
will tell you all you need to know, stumped me for a bit with 4, you will be by default be using a workspace called default and is now just hosts not db_hosts to see the hosts in the database

    Code:
    msf > workspace -h
    Usage:
        workspace List workspaces
        workspace [name] Switch workspace
        workspace -a [name] ... Add workspace(s)
        workspace -d [name] ... Delete workspace(s)
workspace -h Show this help information

yeah the 4.0 release is real nice. I really like the integration with JTR and the changes to msfpayload/msfvenom. You can now create an executable with more than one payload.....nice stuff.

There was also a lot of work on the post exploitation side as well, tons of password capturing post modules and a new user profile enumeration mixin for use with post modules.

I think all commands take a "-h" parameter for help. Seems like I've been using -h a lot
