A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
i havent been using a download manager
and my second attempt was downloaded around a friends house
so i know its not my internet connection and on top of that i have just tryed it on a friends pc and it works!
what else do you think it could be?
Did you check the backtrack wiki to see if your machine was on the commpatability list?
There's your problem. The calculated md5 checksum didn't match.
This may occur if you downloaded the ISO using a download manager vice straight from HTTP. Also, an error could have occured during the burning process. It is advisable to burn the ISO at a slow rate (i.e., 4x).
