Default "Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interface" error

I have a HDD install of BT5 gnome (32bit). When I boot into the GUI everything is fine, but when I open the Wicd Network Manager I get a "could not connect to wicd's d-bus interface. check the wicd log for error messages" I found the thread below:

    http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forum...orkaround.html

But I couldn't respond to that thread...
To start networking and the wicd gtk interface in one click, you can right click on the Services>NETWORK>"WICD gtk interface" selection and select "edit item".
Where do I find that? Or is that specifically in BT4?
