Unable to create partiion.

Dell D620
HD corsair P128 SSD sata

When using the install script, I am unable to create a partition table, all the buttons are disabled.
I set the installer to debug mode but the logs do not give me any useful information.

When I do fdisk -l, I am able to see the hard drive just fine.

I looked in the bios and there is no way to enable or disable ahci.
I googled this particular model, there is some hint that ahci is enabled by default, however I am unable to verify this.

Has anyone had this kind of problem?
Could someone give me some suggestions?

I have always found the Ubuntu installer to be a bit flaky regarding partitioning, try booting live and open a terminal and install gparted and partition as you require then run the installer and choose manual partitioning and choose the partition already made

uuh, how do i install it manually.

I looked at the ubiquity script and it doesn't have a manual mode.

I tried to install the latest ubuntu, and ubuntu installer is unable to see the ssd.

Basically the installer can't see the hard drives so it can't see any of the partitions.

Any ideas???
