    Dear friends,
    Voila! just created my "linux" folder in my favourites. Now just need to take a week or two to digest the info. then i can start using backtrack to it's full potential.

    wow if u know that much about linux already your gonna get nowhere! Research it first... i dunno.... Wikipedia maybe...? then maybe u could google linux download..? that might work


    Dont expect these people to spoon feed you everything you need (and i dont blame them) time to leave mommy behind and learn some stuff on your own.

    Although this is really not the place to ask this, I am going to be generous.

    There are very few linux distributions that actually need to be paid for, generally the ones that need to be paid for, are because you are paying for support or that it includes software that requires a license.

    Take a look here and take you pick of what actually suits your needs.

    I am not going to suggest a particular one, as that is going to be down to personal preference, what you want it for and your level of experience. But seeing as you are asking this question, you are most certainly new to linux, so you will probably be best starting with something like ubuntu.

    I have been looking and researching but most downloads I find are garbage !! I'm also probably older then you and haven't been living with Mommy for over 25 years unlike you probably I also don't know much about Linux but have extensive experience with Windows so I'm trying to learn something new . You can teach old dog new tricks you know
