    Arrow Identifying my wireless adapter

I am using backtrack on a Toshiba Satellite laptop and I have been trying to get it to read my wireless adapter, but I have been having no luck. My wireless adapter is:
    Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

Backtrack keeps saying that their was no device detected.

Is anyone able to help we get backtrack to identify my wireless adapter? PLEEESSSSE!

Try typing 'ifconfig -a' and see if it is listed there. Then 'ifconfig (whatever the adapter shows up as) up'. If that gives you no joy, try 'lspci' and see what it's listed as.
